We are pleased to announce that the continued success and rapid expansion plans have seen DT Engineering employ two more core members of staff. The new engineering and sales staff are based at our North West operation in Liverpool.
The hire of new crane engineer Ian Gray and new sales representative Daniel Pickup – brought about by an ever expanding client portfolio and repeat business by existing customer base – has seen the North West operation enjoy further growth over a 12 month period.
One of our company directors, Gerry Weston, said “The business leads we were winning – plus continuous new demand for Crane servicing business – meant that the employment of a crane engineer was an absolute necessity. This coupled with a need to ensure that existing clients were being regularly looked after and new business gained, meant that the employment of a full time sales representative was also something which we needed to do”.
Ian, a Newcastle born crane engineer, previously based in Sheffield, has enjoyed a varied career with some reputable crane engineering companies around the UK. He said, “After listening to the growth plans of DTE during an interview at the Liverpool HQ, my interest was immediately sparked. Since joining the team, I have been made very welcome by all and I am looking forward to working with some of the businesses blue chip clients already being serviced”.
New sales rep Dan, who has worked all over the world as a lifting equipment engineer said “The directors at DTE laid out some very impressive clients at interview stage as well as a clever growth strategy which would, if met, ensure longevity and job security across the board. The decision to join the team at the Liverpool HQ was an easy one to make and hopefully one of the most influential in career terms”. Dan – who has worked as far afield as West Africa – is also an established MPI assessor, which has added value to the engineering team and allowed DTE to branch out further into this field of operations.
